Summer may have come to an end, but our time on the water is far from over! This October, we’re diving deeper into boating knowledge and enjoying the season with a unique twist on our usual adventures.
At our October general meeting, Commodore Colleen led an interactive session on outboard motors. She brought in an actual motor, opening it up to explain its parts, functions, and essential maintenance tips. It was an invaluable hands-on lesson that deepened our understanding of this vital piece of boating equipment.
With Halloween around the corner, we embraced the spooky spirit with a “Witchy Paddle”! Trading broomsticks for paddleboards, kayaks, and dinghies, we set out in full witch costumes, paddling through Shoreline Marina. The sight of witches gliding over the water brought some curious onlookers and even some new friends who discovered us through an online search for the Witchy Paddle!
This fall, we’re as active as ever, blending education and festive fun on the water. Whether learning new boating skills or creating magical moments, there’s always something to look forward to with our crew.
